I reach for this genre when I need something light and easy and some escapism. But I like my romance with a side of substance, real characters and fleshed out storylines, and if there’s some steamy intimacy – well, bonus! Amore Espresso did not disappoint, in fact it had all this and more, in spades. I fell in love with this town, the people, the love story. I felt instantly attached to Francesca and her insta-family in Bormio. I desperately want to fly in and drink espresso with them all! The romance was not just between two people, it was everywhere – a love letter to friendship and found homes.
Dora Porcaro’s writing reverberates off the page. Full of character, substance, heart and soul. I can’t wait for the next book!
